Specimens galore
 Posted: 19th July 2007

Hi ALL,With the weather calming down a bit we had the possibility of going further offshore to fish the deep water wrecks.Last week we caught Specimen cod,Pollack,Ling and Coalfish for Hugarian,Dutch,German,English and Irish anglers,.Most of the Cod caught were all in double figures with the heaviest tipping the scales at 29lbs for Frank Bishops from Holland.Blue Shark fishing was good with fish to 2mtr tagged and released. On the Tuesday while returning from the wrecks the skipper Niall Mc Carthy noticed in the distance fish breaking the water,on investigation it was a shoal of Albacore tuna in a feeding frenzy, this is very positive as we hope to have new vessels next season to target the Albacore,Regards Mark.see image gallery

 Posted: 18th June 2007

A group of anglers from Friesland led by Tienus Lukes had good fishing the last few days out from Courtmacsherry,On the 14th the weather was poor but the Friday with improved weather we had good catches of Ling,Conger,Pollack,Coalfish,Dogfish,Bull huss,Pouting and mackerel were very plentiful. On the Sat we were hoping for good conditions  for wreck fishing but after 2 drifts with offshore winds freshening a change of plan was agreed as the drift was too fast.We headed off to a good skate mark and along with good catches of Pollack,Conger,Ling and Bull huss we landed one Common Skate and lost 3 more. The Skate  caught by Herman was tagged and released, aprox weight 160lbs.See image gallery
