Happy New Year.
 Posted: 7th January 2010

Hi All,

I hope  that you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year.

The fishing from Courtmacsherry in the last while has been governed mostly by the adverse weather. The lead up to Christmas was very windy with the latter part Cold hard frosty weather.Good Flounder fishing from Courtmacsherry Estuary with 2  Specimen Flounder caught by Andrew Mesas on the 18th December  using a cocktail of Lug and Razor, tides were neap.On the 19th Several more good sized fish were landed.

A group led by Cork angler Alan Murphy took advantage of a window in the weather on the 7th January  to try the offshore wrecks fishing from the "Lady Louise" out from Courtmacsherry. This was our first charter of the New Year and we were all hoping for good results. The fishing was slow with fish marking but very few takes, the catch consisted of medium Pollack and Ling.(see Photo Gallery) Regards Mark.
