Hi All,            The fishing in Courtmacsherry the past week has been great even though the weather was not  kind to us with a good swell from the south.We had Belgian,Dutch and English anglers,Mario Wenselaers of Belgium  landed a Blue Shark of 2m,Felix de Boere  Landed a near Specimen Ling and had a fine cod as well,Pollack fishing was good with fish to 10lbs,good conger,and in the Estuary with live bait Deane Hennessy  landed his best  Bass  a fish of 9.6lbs with mackerel ,while fishing off the Lady Louise at the pontoon,Evin O Sullivan also landed a fish of 8.5lbs.The self drives were catching Bass to 5lbs trolling using sidewinders and rapalas,lets hope the weather improves during the week as with the slack tides we have a good few wrecking trips lined up,(see Gallery)

The last few days have been good for Bass fishing in the Courtmacsherry area.Trolling the preferred method from the selfdrive boats using redgills,Rapallas,sidewinders and shads.Graham Pullen a well known Angling Journalist from the UK had 16 in a 2 hour session the heaviest at 10lbs, Trolling off the shore at Coolmaine 9 fish ,good fishing from the shore at the coves Woodpoint and last night Dean Hennessy caught a Bass 4.4kg from the Pontoon using sandeel and lost 2 more.(see Gallery)

French Connection. A group of anglers from Paris led by Jean Carlo Oriotti arrived in Courtmacsherry on the 24^th June to sample some of the best fishing in Ireland.On the 25^th on the charter boat while reef fishing in the Bay we caught Pollack,conger,Ling,cod,Bullhuss,Dogfish,Coalfish,Cuckoo wrasse,Pouting and mackerel a plenty for Bait.On the 26^th we tried to catch ton up skate but had no luck,we did however catch plenty of Pollack on the drift and good conger and ling at anchor.On the 27^th with a box full of Mackerel we deceided to go for the Blue Shark with favourable conditions, wind force 4to 5 and sunny,with the first line out and the rubbdubby trail giving out a good slick we had the first run after 20mins,however we lost this fish as the line broke,we hooked up with 9 fish on the day and landed and tagged 4 the heaviest a Blue of 2.05m(see Gallery).Some of the group sampled the Self drive boats and they caught Bass,Pollack and mackerel

Graeme Pullen well known English Angling Journalist with Dutch and Irish anglers had good sport with the Blues off Courtmacsherry on the 18th June.We steamed to a position just south of the wreck site of the Lusitania where the ground fishing is good there, in the event of no Blues showing up.The rubby was organised by Graeme and his son Mike and with a slight breeze from the west we had a good trail going.With the tea just made the first run went off at 1300hrs followed by another ,then another,I thought first that we were going to have the mother of all tangles but we actually had 3 Blues on at the same time,Mike was first to land his, a Fish of 1.6m,Jack Chalane my nephew just turned 13 showed us why hes so good at Football and Hurling using his strength to finally land a Blue of 1.96m after a struggle lasting 30mins.Another was landed by Mike soon after followed by  Chris and Geerts with 2 fine fish with the 2 Martins(Martin Langeveld and Martin Klock) landing the last 2,one a fish of 1.96m.With 7 runs we landed 7 and tagged 7 a sucessful days sharking.We also caught plenty of big whiting and haddock.(see Gallery)
